Dental Logo: How To Find The Right Logo For Your Practice

Does your practice have a dental logo? While establishing your dental practice, you will get a lot of ideas. This is especially true when it comes to visual appearance and branding.

Because we are all visual beings, we like to believe that our ideas will be awesome. Unfortunately, in practice, it usually turns out differently. While you might understand some design basics, that doesn’t mean you will be able to find the right solution for your dental practice. Even though you might have an excellent idea, it might turn off potential visitors.

This is precisely why business owners hire design companies to help them out with things such as website design or dental logo design. There are so many things to be considered, and small mistakes can cost you in future profits.

But don’t be discouraged. You should at least have some sort of input!

In order to better understand dental logos and what impresses the patients, we have created a list of logo types that almost always work. Check them out!

  1. A soothing dental logo

You can use various color schemes for dental logos, but it turns out that light blue and white combination is unmatched. When creating soothing logos, you don’t have to be too creative. You should simply focus on having a smooth font and light colors. You can use the first letters of your business or perhaps some other symbol. Just make sure it is relaxing. These logos are probably the most inviting of them all and are really good for people with dental anxiety.

  1. Authoritative logos

These logos are meant to show potential patients that you’re a proficient health provider with extensive experience. Similar to the previous one, it is great for people with dental anxiety, but also works very well for picky individuals. You can experiment a lot with their design, but we recommend that you focus on letters, sharper edges, and stronger colors. Black and dark blue can work very well for this one. However, you should contrast them with some other colors as people don’t like it when dental logos are too dark. You can also add the date when the dental office was established.

  1. Toothbrush and toothpaste logos

This type of logo isn’t ideal for all dental practices. But, it has shown extremely good results for companies that are specializing in dental care for kids. They are usually more playful than their counterparts, and they also send a great message to parents. As you can presume, the combination of these two items is very suggestive as it tells them that your company is focused on kids. Various color combinations can be used for this one, as long as they are light and playful.

  1. Tooth as the centerpiece in a logo

When creating a logo for your dental office, putting a tooth on it will be your first idea. Unfortunately, this isn’t always the best solution. Yes, it is a good way to show people what you’re doing, but there are better options in front of you. One of the main reasons why someone should use such type of dental logo is when the name of the company can be misleading. For example, you might be using your family name, which doesn’t always indicate what type of business you’re in. There might be some other issues. Just so there isn’t any misunderstanding, you can use a tooth to rectify the situation. A tooth logo can also be used in specific situations, for example, when you want to focus only on an image.

  1. Hidden and humorous messages

Teeth have such a shape that you can use them for practically anything. As a result, you can hide them as a part of an animal or an object. These hidden messages can be cute and a good way to relax a potential client. They are also a bit unprofessional, but the humor can help you create an impression. These logos are especially great for dentists who are young or focus on children’s dentistry. Humorous logos are also good when you have limited time to leave an impression. They can be great for ads and other promotional materials.

Conclusion

These are the 5 main types of logos. There are also some subcategories which we won’t mention in this article.

Picking a logo can be hard, but you can make it easier if you hire a dental marketing consultant. Dentie Leads has done numerous projects during which we designed or redesigned companies’ brands.
